JOHN MICHAEL MULLARKEY January 15, 1929 - November 13, 2019. Age 90, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family and friends. Originally of County Mayo, Ireland and a resident of Wilkinsburg for the past 63 years. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 63 years, Ellie Gibbons Mullarkey, also of County Mayo. Beloved father of Catherine, Roger, John (Linda), Maureen Slaby (Gary) and Anne Mullarkey-Sawa (James). Adored by grandchildren, John Michael (Jonna), John Joseph, Ryan (Juliet), Robert, Sean Peter, Sarah (Chris), Megan (Tyler), Lauren (Marcel), Abigail and great-granddaughter, Emma. Also survived by adopted family of Sue and Joe Mahute, Mary Locker and Tim Lewis, as well as many others, all considered a part of the Mullarkey clan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary Mullarkey; siblings, Martin, Bridget, Vincent, Anthony, Mary, and Theresa. He is survived by brother, Patrick; and many nieces and nephews who enjoyed visiting Pittsburgh from Ireland and Scotland. John and Ellie, married in Ireland and immigrated to Pittsburgh, PA USA in 1956. John worked at the Homewood Cemetery for almost 50 years, exemplifying an incredible work ethic. He was strong in his Catholic faith and his love of the old country, he loved to tell a good story, some of them true, and spend time with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He was the husband of the late Charlotte Mae (Pryor) Rusteikas who passed away March 18, 2012. Edward was a member of Dormition of the Holy Virgin Mary Russian Orthodox Church, McKeesport, and was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He retired as a warehouseman in 1993 from Ames Department Stores, Inc. (formerly, G. C. Murphy Co.), Christy Park (McKeesport, PA). He is survived by his sons, Edward Paul (Mary) Rusteikas, Jr., of Allison Park, and Daniel Charles Rusteikas of McKeesport; grandson, Joshua Keddie of Lincoln Borough; and nieces and nephews. MICHAEL JOSEPH PECKMAN Age 34, only child of Frank J. Peckman, III and Sharon L. (Rush) Peckman, quietly passed away in his home Sunday, November 10, 2019. Michael was born and raised in Monroeville, PA and graduated from Gateway HS. He went on to pursue many adventures, the most recent being an adventure in love. In August of 2018, he found his soul mate, Henriette Froyen, and her three children, Julie (12), Martin (9), and Thomas (6 ),who were soon to be his adopted children. They were engaged to be married late summer and reside in Norway. Michael had a passion for tennis shoes and beanie caps! He loved Pepsi, dogs, music, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers, and gaming! He was known for his charm, infectious smile, quick wit and his tender heart, but most of all how he loved his family! Michael was preceded in death by his beloved Gramma and Poppy, Catherine and Donald Rush whom he adored, and he was their sun and moon! Also preceded by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Lucy Peckman. Michael is survived by his loving parents, Sharon and Frank Peckman, III; his finaceé, Henriette Froyen; his three kids, Julie, Martin and Thomas; and his treasured Boston Terrier, Penny. Baldt; loving mother of Vonita Rae Baldt-Renk and her husband, Robert T. Renk; grandmother of Courtney Lee Kalina and Justin Lee Kalina. She was preceded in death by her father, Cyril Jim Gehringer; her mother, Helen Vonita Lee; stepfather, Robert E. Lee; and brother, James Gehringer and his wife, Maureen; as well as her rescue poodle, Girlsie. In addition, Rhoda leaves behind sisters-in-law, Lorraine Vallozzi and Christine Baldt-Holby (Merle); and brothers-in-law, Russell Baldt (Doreen), Michael Baldt, Dale Atkinson (Linda); as well as many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Western Pennsylvania, following high school, Rhoda (known to many as Dodie) married her lifelong love, Roy, who was drafted by the Army but enlisted in the Navy. Over the years, they shared many good times with family and close friends. They were avid motorcyclists and eventually, Rhoda began riding her own bike and enjoyed many eventful trips. Rhoda was also a Pittsburgh Steelers' fan and for many years they had season tickets at Three Rivers Stadium. Rhoda also loved taking pictures; lucky for us, because she memorialized her life and ours. While most of her life she worked at various establishments in the area as a waitress or bartender, she also had a cosmetology degree which saved quite a few family members and friends a good bit of money over the years!She spent the last part of career as the manager of the American Legion's Gold Star Post #820. Rhoda touched many lives over the years.She was a loyal friend and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was, as many have said, a spitfire and will be truly missed. Hers was a life well-lived.
