HAMILTON GERARD H. JERRY Age 81, of Moon Township, formerly of the South Hills, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. He was born in Kearney, NE on July 24, 1934, son of the late Wallace and Elizabeth (Donnelly) Hamilton and stepson of Bert Peterson. On June 1, 2015, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Maureen C. McDonald Hamilton. Beloved father of Karen (Richard) Wonder of Moon Township and Gerard H. Chip Hamilton, Jr. (Melinda) of South Park; cherished grandfather of Kelsey, Madison, Cameron and Allison Wonder; also his granddog, Bentley. Jerry was a graduate of St. Mary's of the Mount, Duquesne University undergraduate and Duquesne Law School. His legal career spanned corporate law, private practice and law education. Jerry began with McArdle and Associates and moved to corporate law with Westinghouse. He was Chief Council of PNB. Then he went into private law practice with Rothman Foreman Gordon & Groudine and Davis and Riley. Last, he became a law educator for Point Park University, The Academy of Court Reporting and Robert Morris University. Jerry was a member of the Library Sportsman Club and a lifetime member of the NRA and worshipped at the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis. An avid Lionel Train Collector, he built his own train layouts. He enjoyed woodworking but was most proud of being a longstanding member of the Pit Crew for Thermo King Auto Air Racing Team at several Indy 500. Visitation Friday 2-4, 6-9 p.m. at COPELAND'S MOON TOWNSHIP, 981 Brodhead Rd. Everyone please meet at the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis, 1205 Fifth Ave., Coraopolis, PA 15108 for funeral service on Saturday at 11 a.m. Rev. Dr. Thomas Petrosky will officiate.
