
TRIMBATH DONALD L., Sr. Age 89, of Pleasant Hills, formerly of Auburn, CA and West Mifflin, passed peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2015. Husband of the late Martha (Makowka) Trimbath and Doris (Hall) Trimbath; beloved father of William (Karen), Leroy (Gail) and Tom Trimbath; loving grandfather of Anna (John) Strasser, Kate (Kevin) Kenny, Roger Trimbath and Will (Sarah) Trimbath; great-grandfather of Abbie and Brinley; son of the late Arthur L. and Mary Frances (Hopkinson) Trimbath; brother of Bettye Nosenzo, Dorothy (Cliff) Gamble and the late Frances Phillians and Ruth Ball; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Don spent his professional career in the petroleum industry, working for the Gulf Oil Corp., R & W Oil and the Guttman Group. He served as National Vice President of the American Merchant Marines Veterans, President of the Mon Valley Chapter of the American Merchant Marine Veterans, a founding member of the West Mifflin Ambulance Service, and sat on the Board of Directors for the West Mifflin Municipal Sanitary Authority. He loved traveling and golfing, especially with his "Tuesday Golfing Buddies" during his time in Auburn, CA. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Allegheny Health Hospice, West Penn Hospital Tower 8, and Atria South Hills for their compassionate and loving care of Don, especially Kristin and Mary Beth. Visitation will be held Wednesday 2-8 p.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. John Lendvai on Thursday 12 noon in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2603 Old Elizabeth Road, West Mifflin. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment to follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.
