McCUTCHEON MARIE A. (DANKO) On the afternoon of Tuesday, July 21, 2015, Marie Annette McCutcheon, R.N., age 81, a longtime resident of Oakmont, PA passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving and devoted daughters, Marsha and Linda. She was born September 23, 1933, to the late parents, John Andrew Danko and Mary (Tkach) and preceded in death by her beloved husband, H. Claude McCutcheon (Oct. 2011). She was the sister of Joan Yuhas (Chuck), the late John A. Danko, Jr., Dee Fazio (Bob Tach), and Richard Danko (Susan); sister-in-law to M. Louise Bergamasco (late Joseph), late Wilbert McCutcheon (late Carol), late John McCandless; also loving aunt of over 20 nieces and nephews. Marie was a 1951 graduate of Duquesne High School, followed by a heartfelt vocation calling as a Registered Nurse graduate from Braddock General Hospital. She worked at Braddock General through 1965 upon moving to Oakmont to start a family. Allowing no gaps in her career, she joined the professional staff of Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont, serving as supervisor and charge nurse for over 33 years, including skilled care over varying shifts until her retirement. She held high standards in the execution of care provided, which was passed on to her primary caregiver in her last few years of need, daughter, Linda, along with Marsha. Marie had a strong will and drive, an interest to do the right things the right way. Her entire life was caring for others, whether it was the career of nursing within the community, or immediate family.
