BLYSHAK JOHN, Jr. Age 69, of the Northside, passed away on October 4, 2015. Born on February 20, 1946, he was the son of late John and Katherine Blyshak of Pittsburgh. John was a Vietnam veteran who served his country with honor. An avid Pittsburgh sports fan, he was a Steelers season ticket holder and huge Pirates fan. He played and coached in numerous softball teams throughout the Northside and North Hills. Traveling and photography played an important part of his life. His business "John's Woodturning Gifts" showed his undeniable talent together with his love of woodturning. He participated in many craft shows in Allegheny and Beaver Counties and was an active member of Woodturners Anonymous. He is survived by his brothers, David (Regina) of Pittsburgh, Edward (Karen) of St. Charles, Illinois, Dennis of Grapevine, Texas; sister, Sharon (Les) Hixenbaugh of Hopewell Township; he was beloved "Uncle Butch" to Nicole (Glen) Hoeinghaus, Emilee, Andrew, and Natalee Hixenbaugh; and great-uncle to Ben Hoeinghaus. There was no visitation and a memorial service and interment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Arrangements were entrusted to ANTHONY MASTROFRANCESCO FUNERAL HOME, in Aliquippa. Rest in Peace Butch. We will miss you. Send condolences post-gazette.com/gb
