WOLLERTON JAMES WILLIAM "A limb has fallen from the family tree that says grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, the good life I lived while I was strong." After a 21 month courageous battle with brain cancer, Jim, age 74, passed away at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mildred (Johnston) Wollerton; and sisters, Eleanor Chappell and Patricia Murphy. Jim was a graduate of Swissvale High School, served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, retired from the Teamsters in 1998 and continued as the resident handyman throughout his retirement. However, Jim was first and foremost a family man. He was extremely proud of his family and adored them tremendously. He loved bright colors, sunshine and the beach. He never met a stranger and had good friends in Pennsylvania, Florida and South Carolina. He married the love of his life, Carol McMinn, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family this past February. Jim will be forever loved by Carol; his children, Michele (Gary) Obenour, Carla (Marc) Rittenhouse and Jason (Stacey) Wollerton; and grandchildren, Mallory Obenour, Austin Obenour, Morgan Rittenhouse, Paige Rittenhouse, Rylie Wollerton and Caden Wollerton; Jim also leaves behind to cherish his memory, two brothers, Frank "Sonny" Wollerton and Jack (Karen) Wollerton; and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Chuck and Chris McMinn, brother and sister-in-law, for their support during Jim's illness. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
