BRODDIE MARY ESTHER BATTLE Age 86, of Pittsburgh, PA, died at home on Monday, November 16, 2015. She was born November 16, 1929, in Clairton, PA, daughter of the late Fred Lee Battle, Sr. and Luvenia Williams Battle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Broddie, Jr. She was a retired LPN from Montefiore Hospital with 18 years of service and worked another five years as a child care provider. She was a faithful member of the United Vision Baptist Church of Pittsburgh. Surviving are her children, Silko Renaldo Thomas of Waldorf, MD, Antoinette Thomas of Whitaker, PA, and Mary Elizabeth (Doug) Man of Old Bridge, NJ; eight grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren; sisters, Willa Mae (Rudolph) Jones of Cleveland, OH and Agnes Taulton of Clairton; brother, Joseph Randall of Clairton; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Friends will be received Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at the Morning Star Baptist Church, 307 Shaw Ave., Clairton, PA where services will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Christopher Glover, officiating. Rev. Dr. Willie Thompson, Jr. is the Pastor. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Sharpsburg, PA. Local arrangements by the ROBERT A.
