DIXON MARGARET KELLER Age 100, passed away, on December 3, 2015, from causes incident to age, while residing at the Sherwood Oaks Retirement Community, Cranberry Township, PA. Margaret was born April 29, 1915, in Cumberland, Wyoming, the eldest of four children born to Albert D. Keller and Margaret Crawford Keller. Following her graduation from Utah State University and at the beginning of World War II she took a position first at Hill Air Force Base in Utah and then with the State Department working in Washington, D. C. and London, England during the German bombing and in Berlin, Germany during the Berlin Blockade. She later became secretary to United States Ambassador Robert D. Murphy participating in the allied international post war conferences in Moscow, London and Paris. Following these conferences she became employed by the International Authority for the Ruhr where she met Thomas Edward Dixon, a native of England who held a position with the British section of the Ruhr Authority. They were married March 10, 1951, in Dusseldorf, Germany. They later moved to the United States where Ted and Margaret established the American Schack Company of Pittsburgh, a U.S. subsidiary of a German multinational steel mill equipment and engineering firm. Husband, Ted passed away January 16, 2006. Margaret is survived by a sister, Marian Peggy Lewis of Modesto, California and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted; and her brothers, Kirk A. Keller and Paul C. Keller.
