
BIANCHI VINCENT M. Vincent M. "Paaa" Bianchi, age 84, formerly of Pleasant Hills, received the greatest Christmas gift of all when he passed into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, December 20, 2015, at Geisinger Medical Center. He had been a guest at Emmanuel Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center since January. He was born August 7, 1931, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Antonio and Louise (DaBaldo) Bianchi. He was married for over 49 years to the love of his life, Dolores "Bubbee" (Amato) Bianchi, who preceded him in death on December 14, 2005. Vince was a member of St. Thomas A' Becket Catholic Church, Jefferson Hills, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and usher. He was an industrial engineer for Fisher Body/General Motors for over 35 years. Vince proudly served his country as an officer in the Korean Conflict. He was also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, Pirates, and any team on which his children or grandchildren participated. He served as softball commissioner and coach for PHARA for many years. Surviving are his two daughters and "sons-in-law I just as soon call my sons," Dr. Judith and David Bowser of Danville, with whom he lived, and Dr. Janice and Charles Frederickson, Jr., of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Greg and Joanna Bowser and Chip and CJ Frederickson; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Janie Bianchi of Center Hall; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two infant grandsons, Vincent and Dominic Frederickson; and brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Mark and Rosemary Bianchi; and brother-in-law, Harold Amato. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on December 28, 2015, at St. Thomas A' Becket Catholic Church, 509 Gill Hall Road, Jefferson Hills, by the Rev. Daniel Maurer. A Christian Burial will immediately follow in Jefferson Memorial Park. A celebration of Vince's life will also be held in Danville on Sunday, January 10, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Emmanuel Skilled Nursing Center, 600 Schoolhouse Road, Danville, 17821. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society or to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
