MARTIN VALKO, JR. Of Braddock Hills, age 95, on Sunday, April 5, 2020. Martin was born in Braddock on October 11, 1924, a son of the late Martin Valko, Sr. and Anna (Macuga) Valko. Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Anna (Paich) Valko. Loving father of Martina “Tina” Antolik and her husband, Mark; and Martin “Mark” Valko and his wife, Janine. Treasured grandfather of Stephanie (Scott) Park, Jason (Casey) Antolik, Scott Valko and Alexis Valko. Proud great-grandfather of Cody Pawlowski, Colton Park, Cheyenne Park and Jaycie Antolik. Dearest uncle of the late Carol Larkin. Martin will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Martin was a WWII Army veteran and a retired welder from E.L. Weigand, Co. He loved to tell his stories about Braddock, growing up there with his friends and enjoying the shore of the Monongahela River. He also shared stories of his Army experiences as a soldier during WWII. Martin enjoyed tinkering with electronics, gardening and playing the slots at the casino. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Martin's viewing, service and Military Honors will be private to his family. He will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery.
