FREDERICKSON RALPH A. Age 87, of Collier Twp., formerly of Bethel Park and Saugus, MA. Husband for 55 years of the late Laurice; father of Mark (Anne), Kirk (Marian) Frederickson and Kristin (Kirk) Fernitz; Pops to Jenna, Gail, Andrew, Erik and Haydn; the son of immigrant Swedish parents, Ralph served in the US Army post WWII in Japan. Afterwards, Ralph earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. He and Laurice came to Pittsburgh to work at Westinghouse Bettis Atomic Power Lab. He was awarded the Westinghouse Order of Merit for his contributions to the Naval Nuclear Reactor Program. He enjoyed playing bridge, was an outstanding golfer and piloted a Cessna 150. Private service in MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pgh., PA 15205.
