DOLIVEIRA DENISE RAMALEY Age 54, of Plum, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, January 17, 2016. She was born September 13, 1961, at Latrobe Hospital and grew up in New Alexandria. She was a student at New Derry Area School District. Denise always wanted to be a nurse. She received her B.S.N. Degree from West Virginia Wesleyan University and later went on to receive her M.S.N. from LaRoche College. She married John Doliveira in 1993 and had two children, Jonathan and Hailey. She was a nurse at Forbes Hospital and later became a nursing instructor and Department Head of Nursing at CCAC Boyce Campus. She was a devout member of Unity Community Church. Denise dedicated herself entirely to her family members, nursing students and to her patients. She loved to laugh, watch her favorite Pittsburgh Penguins, and travel around and the world with her family. In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her parents, Chalmers and Barbara Ramaley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nicholas and Mary Palovich; her big sister, Barbara Clendenen (David); sisters-in-law, Patricia Dugan, Ann (Roger) Shaffer; brother- in-law, Nicholas (Cathy) Palovich; as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, George Doliveira. Denise will be dearly missed by all. Friends received Monday, 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES, LTD. / ROTH CHAPEL, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road), Penn Hills.
