JOSEPH SYLVIA (DEEP) Age 90, of Aliquippa, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016, in Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley, Beaver. Born June 3, 1925, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Deep. Mrs. Joseph retired as a teacher's aide from Aliquippa School District. She was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church in Aliquippa, and the Lebanon Mirdites Club Ladies Auxiliary, where she volunteered her services for many years. Sylvia was an excellent cook who royally welcomed everyone into her home. She will be sadly missed by her family, who were the center of her life; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Peter and Dana Joseph; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Chuck Galton; her beloved granddaughter, Natalie Joseph; sister, Norma Ostrowski; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Joseph in 1986; four brothers, George, Abe, Mike and Johnny; and two sisters, Amelia and Rose. Friends will be received Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, PA 15001, where a service will be held Thursday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Titus Catholic Church in Aliquippa, with Fr. Paul Householder, officiating. Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Hopewell Twp.
