HARTNETT CAROLE MEEHAN DIED PE...

HARTNETT CAROLE MEEHAN Died peacefully, of complications from throat and neck cancer, at Family Hospice in Mt. Lebanon, on January 9, 2016, with her three daughters by her side. Carole made her home in Bethel Park for most of her adult life, and is survived by her four children, Christine (Stephen) Bye, Heather (Peter) Austin, Cynthia Hartnett and John F. Hartnett IV; five grandchildren; and a brother, Tom Meehan and his lifelong partner, Sue Hawkes. Carole was born and raised in Youngstown, OH and will be buried in Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown near her beloved parents, Veronica (Vee) Meehan and Frank Meehan. Carole was preceded in death by her loving sister, Kathleen (Meehan) VanBuren; and brother, Robert Meehan. Friends are welcome to join the family on January 30, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Bethel Park for a funeral mass to celebrate Carole's life. A private burial will be held February 1, 2016. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Family Hospice Philanthropy Dept., 50 Moffett Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15243.
