LAGATTUTA LAWRENCE S. SAMMY Of New Kensington, formerly of Beechview, died August 3, 2015, at age 87. Born February 22, 1928, in Pittsburgh to Simone and Pauline Costanzo Lagattuta. He was preceded by his parents; son, Anthony Gerard; and son-in-law, David Bray. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marilyn Roman Lagattuta, Springdale; children, Joseph, Carla, Lawrence, Maureen, Paula, Michael, Theodore, Sally, Roseann, and Jeffrey; grandchildren, David, Andrew, Tara, Jessica, Brian, Alexandra, Madeline, Alexander, Samuel, Mia, Marina, Cara, and Elizabeth; and great-granddaughter, Gemma. Family and friends will be received from 1-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015, in the JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325. Prayers of Transfer will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, Lower Burrell. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Hazelwood.
