SZWARC WALTER J. Age 65, formerly of Bradfordwoods, died on January 26, 2016, in Colorado Springs, CO. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn (Riordan) Szwarc; his loving daughters, Emily (Austin) Sherwood and USAF Lt. Col. Meghan Szwarc, both of Colorado Springs; and his son, Doug (Megumi) Szwarc of Cupertino, California; devoted grandfather to Teo and Lyren Sherwood and Miyako and Kiyoko Szwarc. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter A. Szwarc and Julia (Parylak) Szwarc; survived by his siblings, Catherine (Paul) Whalen, Frank (Belinda) Szwarc, Michael (Maria) Szwarc and Tony Szwarc. Born and raised in Braddock, he attended St. Thomas High School, graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A., B.S. and M.S. in Aerospace Engineering. He was a Naval Aviator, an Engineer for Boeing and was a Captain for USAirways. He will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. on a date to be determined.
