STOFAN FRANK STEPHEN Age 83, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015, to be with His Heavenly Father with his family at his side. He was born 1931, in Wickhaven a son of the late John and Mary (Ference) Stofan. Prior to his retirement he was an Instrumental Music Teacher at East Allegheny School District for 33 years. Frank was a 1958 graduate from Duquesne University with a Master's Degree. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Monroeville, where he was a member of the choir, he was also a social member of the Hahntown Vol. Fire Dept., a member of the Franklin Twp. Pointer and Setter Club. Frank proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, stationed in Newfoundland, where he met his wife, Alice Mae. He was an avid gardener and loved to hunt and fish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, John, Andrew and Albert Stofan; sisters, Mary Lemak and Ann Rudzik. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Alice M. (Zemke) Stofan; four children, Mary Lou Young, of Raleigh NC, Annette Bowen and husband, Richard, of North Huntingdon, Frank W. Stofan, of Venango, Lorna Harker and husband, Brad, of Marshallville, OH; four grandchildren, Hannah and Harrison Harker, Frances and Emily Stofan; his twin sister, Frances Stawovy, of Belle Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the OTT FUNERAL HOME, 805 Pennsylvania Avenue, Irwin. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Monroeville, everyone please go directly to the church.
