KAUER THOMAS FRANCIS Age 72, formerly of Sewickley, on August 16, 2015. Loving father of Kristin Schleis (David) and David Kauer (Maria); dear grandfather of Rachel and Eli Kauer and Tyler and Eden Schleis; brother of Kathleen Wise (late, Jack), Patricia Ehlers (John), George Kauer (Linda), Jack Kauer (Kathy), Marlene Foley (John), Peggy Gilkey (Cliff) and Robert Kauer (Mary Louise); preceded in death by a sister, Julia Kauer; a brother, Daniel Kauer (surviving, Carrie); and fiancée, Deborah Hirt; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Tom served in the United States Navy from 1962-1966 and was an AT&T retiree. Friends received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the McDONALD-LINN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 529 California Ave., Avalon. Committal services with military honors will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
