TUCKER ROSE M. Formerly of Chalfant, age 94, on Thursday, May 10, 2018. Wife of the late Harry Tucker, Jr.; and loving mother of Nadine (Phil) Belejchak of Fort Myers, FL; cherished grandmother of Adina and Derek (Brittany) Belejchak; and great-grandmother (Ga Ga) to Taylor, Brooke, and Alex; dear sister of Larry Bozick of North Huntingdon; and preceded in death by Bill Bozick, Pearl Bobich, Dorothy Srdich, Ann Pocsatko, Nick Bozick, Michael Bozick, Mildred Ruzanic, Katy Shaplye, and Tom Bozzick. Rose is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Rose was born January 13, 1924, and was the 13th youngest of 16 children born to Milos and Stanka Bozick. She grew up in North Braddock, graduated from high school two years early, and was a majorette in the band. During the war she worked at Westinghouse, where Olga Tucker, a friend from work, introduced her to Harry Tucker. Six weeks after they met, Rose and Harry were married and moved to Chalfant Borough, where they lived for 70 years. Rose was very active in her borough and served as a brownie and girl scout leader, girls softball coach, fireman's ladies auxiliary, school crossing guard, judge of Elections, helped started the crime watch program, and kept the borough council on their toes by attending their monthly meetings. She was the president of the Sr. Americans dinner dance club for over 40 years. Rose loved to dance and always listened to polkas every Saturday and Sunday. She worked as the Head of Sales in the cosmetics department, as well as the Estée Lauder representative, at Gimbels Department Store, where she retired. Over the years, she was awarded Citizen of the Year and Good Neighbor Award in Chalfant. Rose recently moved to Florida to be closer to her family and made many new friends in her complex. Her memory will always live on through her family and by the countless lives she touched. Friends welcome Thursday and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the PATRICK T. LABBIE HERBERT GEORGE Passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 12th while holding the hand of his “only acknowledged” child. He was a funny, intellectually curious, and kind gentleman. Herb studied biophysics and chemistry undergrad at the University of Pittsburgh and then went to Pitt Law School. Over the course of his life, Herb was a medical researcher, personal injury lawyer, medical expert witness, money manager and Certified Market Technician. He enjoyed writing a newsletter for institutions about the stock market and economy. Herb was proud to have correctly predicted the market crash of 1987 in his newsletter, Technical Portfolio Strategies, and saving his client's money. He was a voracious reader; at one point perusing nine newspapers from around the world every day. Also a bibliophile, Herb especially loved The Joys of Yiddish. Herb was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle, husband to the late Martha K. Labbie, and father. He is survived by his daughter, Barbra Lee Labbie and son-in-law, Robert E. Bowman; nephews, Jay B. Herman, Rick Steinweg, Bernd, Reiner and Peter Dankelman; and nieces, Beryl (Jonathan) Rosenberg, Blanche Bianca (Steinweg) Whiting, Brigitte (Schodel) Hemmerle, Sigrid (Schodel) Joswiak; many much loved grand-nieces and nephews; in-law, Mary Bowman, sisters-in-law, Elisabeth Steinweg and Gertrude Schodel; as well as dear friends such as Robert Cohen and Bill Simon. CANNON DONALD F. Age 85, of Peters Twp., passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at St. Clair Hospital, surrounded by family. Born December 24, 1932, he was the son of the late James Girard Cannon and Mary Jane (Anderson) Edwards. He graduated from St. Vincent Preparatory School and attended Point Park University. He served as a member of the US Army during the Korean War. He worked at Blue Cross for 30 years and retired as the Director of Finance. He enjoyed classical music, vacations to Marco Island and spending times with his grandchildren. He will be remembered and missed by his devoted and loving wife of 58 years, Yvonne (Serenko) Cannon; his children, Greg (Kim) Cannon, Doug (Heather) Cannon, Amy (John) Gentilcore and Megan (Mike) Steber; his grandchildren, Brandon, Victoria, Gabrielle, Anthony, Colton, Nolan, Brook, Dana, Buddy, Hunter, Jayden, and Cami; his brother, James G. Born March 10, 1969, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Caesar and Carole Lippl DeFrancisco of Chalk Hill, PA. A resident of Perryopolis for the past 20 years, Mr. Attanucci was a member of St. John The Baptist RC Church and was a senior financial advisor with Lincoln Investment. Matthew loved and adored his wife and daughters above everything else. He lived his life to the fullest, always making sure family and friends enjoyed life with him. Matthew was a proud member of the Perryopolis Sons of Italy, a philanthropist and a very active member of the community, church and a friend to everyone. Matthew will be missed. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Christine Sullivan Attanucci to whom he would have been married 19 years in July; two daughters, Karissa Attanucci and Brooke Attanucci both at home; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Leann Attanucci of Peters Twp.; sister-in-law, Peggy Sullivan of Pittsburgh; mother-in-law, Hermine Sullivan of Perryopolis; and three nephews, Luca, Logan, and Rocco Attanucci. Deborah was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, having earned her BA and MBA, she was Operations Manager and HR Specialist at Allegheny Financial Group. After leaving Allegheny Financial she worked at a local Erie Insurance office. She was a member of Theta Phi Alpha Women's Fraternity at the University of Pittsburgh. An avid traveler, she also enjoyed gardening, loved her dogs, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
