SIEBERT CARA AMY April 20, 1970 - July 22, 2018, our amazing Amy passed away after 19 months of facing a condition about which she never complained nor asked, why me,' surrounded by her loving husband, son, father, uncle, and dear friends. Amy was born in St. John's, Newfoundland, CA. and spent her formative years in Wisconsin, Israel, and State College, PA. After high school, she traveled to Israel to do volunteer work on Kibbutz Givat Brenner, where she met her future husband, Hemi Braunstein. The two of them reconnected when Hemi lived in New York, and they eventually decided to travel the world together. On a stopover in Israel they married and after a year they returned to the United States to pursue higher education, where Amy earned her Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Anthropology at Slippery Rock University. After graduation she worked in the Educational department of the The Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, PA. A few years later they moved to the Squirrel Hill Neighborhood and began to pursue a lifelong dream of opening their own cafe. On December 12, 2005, ARTspace & Coffee opened its doors for the first time fulfilling that dream. What made this cafe special was the love reflected in a vegetarian menu which Amy provided on a daily basis. Together, Amy and Hemi operated ARTspace & Coffeehouse for 13 years, until they decided to sell with the desire to pursue other paths in life. Those plans were cut short by Amy's worsening condition. Amy is survived by her husband, Hemi Braunstein; son, Daniel Siebert Braunstein; father, Leonard Siebert; beloved dog, Zeus; and a host of extended family and dear friends. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War. Surviving are his beloved wife of 50 years Jacqueline Jackie (Lasky) Kosco; a son and daughter-in-law Andy and Heather Kosco; two granddaughters Katherine and Carly; a brother Arthur Kalb; a sister and brother-in-law Judie and David Gumbita; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Gloria Borowski. BANNON DAVID T. "DAVE" Age 94, passed away peacefully at Asbury Heights, Mt. Lebanon on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. David was born September 22, 1923, in Crafton Pennsylvania, to Bernard and Barbara Bannon. After his mother passed away he attended Saint Xavier grade school and then Preparatory School at Saint Vincent College, both in Latrobe Pennsylvania. He earned his Diploma June 5,1941. He is a member of the Saint Vincent Sports Hall of Fame and had the lead role of Napoleon in the St Vincent College/Seton Hill Academy Swords and Scissors operetta April 21 and 23, 1940. David entered the US Air Force in 1942 and served three years during World War II as an airplane mechanic maintaining 3 airplanes the P40, P38 and P51. He was stationed at Diamondhead, Territory of Hawaii and earned the sergeant rank. In 1946 David married Dolores Bell also from Crafton where they initially resided and eventually moved to Mt. Lebanon Pennsylvania. They were married for 60 years. David worked at Massey Buick during the 1950's, then-after, beginning in 1963 at Rohrich Cadillac for 35 years. He was very personable, had many repeat customers, sold over 5,000 cars and belonged to the prestigious Cadillac Gold Crest Club every year. David was a devoted father of four children, David Jr., Mark, Kevin and Robert; he also had five step siblings Albert, Mary Helen, Dennis, John and Arthur; he was a loving grandfather of five grandchildren David, Mimi, Jessie, Kaylin and Lindsay. He was an inspiration to his entire family, was well loved, admired and had a positive effect on all of their lives. David is survived by three sons Mark, Kevin and Robert as well as all of his step siblings, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers Bernard, Biff and Richard; wife Dolores; and son David Jr. Dave has been a parishioner at Saint Bernard Catholic Church in Mt. A proud graduate from North Hills High School (1962), John Carroll University (1966), and Duquesne University Law School (1968), Don joined the United States Army in 1968 and was discharged as Captain before enjoying a successful law career at the National Labor Relations Board in Pittsburgh, PA. A Pittsburgh Steelers season ticket holder for over 30 years, Don cheered on the Black and Gold through six Super Bowl wins and countless frigid Sunday football games with his father, brothers, and sons. When he wasn't watching sports, Don could be found listening to oldies and reading a book by Stephen King or numerous other authors.
