KELLY JOSEPH M. First Sergeant (Ret.) Joseph M. Kelly was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, died Tuesday morning, September 22, 2015, in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He was 71 years old. Beloved husband of the late Hui Suk Kelly; father of Joseph Cha (Sheryl), Wayne (Steffi), Shirley, Ingrid, and Ruth Kelly; grandfather to Skylah, Kevin and Dennis Kelly; brother of Annie Duff (Tom), James (Gail) and the late John (Joan) Kelly. Many nieces and nephews. At an early age, Joseph Kelly enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country and retired after 21 years as a First Sergeant. He served overseas for most of his military career in countries such as Germany, Korea, Japan, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. While serving in the military, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal (sixth Award), Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with four Service Stars, and RVN Cross of Gallantry with Palm. After his retirement from the Army, Mr. Kelly was employed by the United States Postal Service at Warrendale, PA for 20 years. Mr. Kelly was a lifetime member of VFW Post 1810, Brentwood. Longtime member of the American Legion and Post 0540 of Brookline. ARRANGEMENTS BY BEINHAUERS. Friends will be received at 2630 W. Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15216, 412-531-4000 on Saturday, September 26, 2015, from 12-1:30 p.m. Graveside services, with full military honors, will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
