CUNZOLO GIUSEPPE “JOE” Age 64, of Coraopolis, was lifted peacefully by God's angels, Wednesday, September 30, 2015, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Falerna and raised in Proseddei, Italy, Joe immigrated to America on April 30, 1969, when he was 18 years old. A champion hydroplane boat racer, Harley rider, and snow mobiler, Joe loved everything fast and strived to break limits and records. He was "the life of the party," and when there wasn't one, he brought one. This world will be a colder place without his huge presence. Left to mourn his passing is his loving, devoted wife of 10 years, Michelle (Gelormino) Cunzolo. His amazing contagious lives inside his best girl, daughter, Nicole (Cunzolo) and Ty Heasley; adored grandson Nicolas Bates; and his only loving son, Mark Cunzolo (Sarah Cunzolo); devoted brother, Domenick (Cunzolo), his cherished and loved nephew who was his welcome to America as he was born in 1969, on his birthday, Christian (Cunzolo); and step-granddaughters, Kayoda, Krystle, Tyra, Sierra (Heasley). Most beloved son to Carmella (Cunzolo) Trautman of New Braunfels, TX; and siblings, Robert (Lupe), Richard (Connie), Danny, and Michael (Loretta). Joe is called Pinuccio by his loving, faithful family from Italy, Zia Agnese (Anthony) Cicarelli (Sabrina and Mario DiCriscio, Barbara); brother, Gianfranco (Anna) Cicarelli, Maurizio; and sister, Anna; along with nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. The family wishes to thank the staff of Family Hospice Care for their kind care, Dr. Sherry, Dr. Coppola and the Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Very special thanks to Gail, our nurse of four years who became a very much loved member of our family for her impeccable care. Special thank you to Fr. Rich for his incredible love he has shown our family. To those who traveled from near and far by boat, plane, or motorcycle to visit, reminisce, pay tribute, and bring joy, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for surrounding Joe in love on his last days. Zoom, zoom, zoom..... Visitation Saturday and Sunday 1-4, and 6-8 p.m. with Rosary recited on Sunday afternoon at COPELAND'S CORAOPOLIS, 867 Fifth Avenue where Prayer Service will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church. Father Richard Jones will officiate. Send condolences post-gazette.com/gb
