ALFRED J. "BIG AL" RUSSO Al Russo, age 68, of Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020. He was born on December 24, 1951, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the eldest of four children to the late Salvatore and Rose Russo. He was a retired chief minute clerk for the criminal courts of Allegheny County and a member of St. Thomas A'Becket Catholic Church. Al was a devoted husband and father who was always kind and willing to help anyone in need. He loved Pittsburgh sports, especially the Penguins, Steelers and Pitt. Most of all he loved coaching his kids in hockey, where he would utilize the Russo Line, and being Pappy to his grandchildren whom he adored. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lenore; five children, Jarrod (Doreen) Caruso, Angela (Keith) Zamba, Louis (Carly) Russo, Thomas (Becky) Russo and Joshua Russo; five grandchildren, Julia, Jacob, Anthony, Alayna, and Ella; three siblings, Linda, Donna and Salvatore; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation and burial will be held privately due to the current restrictions on gatherings, but a Memorial Mass for all to attend will be held at a later date at St. Thomas A'Becket Catholic Church.
