BROWN MARY C. Age 86, formerly of Eighty Four, Nottingham Township, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, February 29, 2016, at Arden Courts Memory Care Community in Jefferson Hills Borough. She was born September 10, 1929, in McKeesport, a daughter of Joseph and Rachel Hagerty Cobak. Mrs. Brown was retired as a data processor at the former J & L Steel Corporation in Pittsburgh. She was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Church in Elrama and had attended St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville. Surviving are a daughter, Carol Shoemaker of Gastonville; two brothers, Raymond and Robert (Pam) Cobak, both of Pleasant Hills; three grandchildren, Jed Shoemaker and twins, Sara and Jessi Shoemaker; a great- granddaughter, Alexis Shoemaker; and two nephews, Bobby and Michael Cobak. Deceased are her first husband, John O'Neil, who died in June of 1974, and her second husband, James Brown, who died in August of 2006. Friends will be received on Friday, March 4, 2016, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon, the time of a Blessing Service with Reverend Robert J. Boyle officiating, at KEGEL FUNERAL HOME, INC., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, David P. Kegel, director, 3560 Washington Avenue, in Finleyville. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in McMurray.
