POPOVIC PAUL N. Passed away peacefully on Monday, June 4, 2018, while holding the hand of his loving wife of 25 years, Cheryl Haus. Son of the late Paul R. Popovic and Anne Ursula Rothart Popovic of Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to his wife, Cheryl, he is survived by his daughter Tanna Lambert (Levi), and granddaughter Talyn of Austin, Texas. Also survived by brother David (Colleen) Popovic, nephews Sean and Jordan (Jessica) Popovic of Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by grandson Gunner Lambert. Also survived by sister-in-law Chris (Mickey) Scheafer, Pittsburgh, PA, brother-in-law Chuck (Mary Jane) and their children, Benjamin and Jacqueline Haus of Upper St. Clair, PA. Paul was a graduate of the University of Miami, Fl. and a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He played football and baseball for the Miami Hurricanes and went on to play minor-league baseball for the Cleveland Indians' organization. He remained a life-long Cleveland sports fan. Paul spent his career in three-dimensional design and marketing. While his company, the Westerly Group, Inc. focused on the trade show industry, his designs are also found in airport terminals, museums and other public venues. Paul generously shared his talents with local organizations, including St. Paul Cathedral where he chaired the Renovation Committee. As an avid golfer, Paul was a member of Chartiers Country Club, serving on the Board as Chairman of the House Committee and spear-headed the modernization of the club facilities. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Tony retired as a computer data processor for the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroads and had previously been employed as a data processor at Mellon Bank. He was a proud member of the Free Masons. Tony will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. Tony leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Marianne Lame, whom he married on August 18, 2000. Sister of June T. Weixel, and the late Fr. Joseph P. McMahon, Sr. Mary Agnes McMahon OP, Mary Ellen Leon, Paul Carey, Vincent, and Patricia McMahon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Prior to World War II, Lydia worked in Washington, D.C. and then with the National Labor Relations Board in Pittsburgh. Following the war, she married Bill Burgunder and together they created a loving environment in which to raise six children. She was known for her patience, her unconditional love, and her warm personality. Her home, the center of many celebrations, was always open to family and to her children's school and neighborhood friends. Lydia and Bill were founding parishioners of St. Pius X Catholic Church where she was an active member of the Christian Mothers and served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. She was a member of Duquesne Women's Guild and a longtime on-air radio volunteer for Radio Information Service, a non-profit radio station operated by and for people who cannot read print information. After raising her children, Mildred earned her real estate license, worked for Northwood Realty, and also did tax returns for senior citizens for a brief period. As a longstanding member of the Christian Mothers of St. Teresa of Avila Church, Mildred was the chairperson for the Padre Pio Fund-Raising Project (Roses for Peace) which provided financial support to young men attending the seminary in Eastern Europe. The family would like to thank the following caregivers who profoundly loved Mildred and supported her spiritually as well as in daily living: Colleen, Debbie, Mary and Joan. The family would also like to thank the wonderful staff at Sunrise of McCandless, especially Yvonne and Taylor. The kindness and compassion from the Sunrise employees were truly remarkable gifts. Russell retired after 30 years as a locomotive engineer for Union Railroad and as a scientist for Westinghouse Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory for 25 years. Friends will be received at the JOHN F.
